Mridul Manoj, a 23-year-old Dubai resident, has maintained an extraordinary running streak of over 2,000 consecutive days since November 20, 2019. Despite disliking running, Manoj’s commitment stems from a desire to build consistency, endurance, and mental resilience. Originally a professional cricketer, he found his passion for the sport fading, which led him to seek a new challenge. Inspired by American streak runner Hellah Sidibe, Mridul started running daily and has kept the streak alive through injuries, cold UK winters, and the intense Dubai heat.
His runs, tracked meticulously on Samsung Health, average at least 3–5 km daily. Even an ankle injury from basketball couldn’t deter him from running carefully. Beyond physical benefits, Mridul emphasizes the psychological strength gained from persistence. He hopes to inspire others with his story and has plans to establish a running club in Dubai, aiming to foster community and motivation.
“Running isn’t about love for me; it’s about showing up every day,” Manoj says. As he approaches a Guinness World Record, his journey highlights dedication and the power of the human spirit in overcoming discomfort to achieve long-term goals.
