The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has debuted its innovative Smart Safety Tracker at GITEX Global 2025, integrating generative AI (GenAI) and computer vision to revolutionize occupational health and safety monitoring across UAE workplaces. Announced by Shayma Yousef Alawadhi, Acting Undersecretary at MoHRE, the system automates inspection processes by analyzing images and data from job sites to detect safety violations, such as missing protective gear, unsafe practices, or hazardous materials, with unparalleled speed and accuracy.
Leveraging deep learning models trained on thousands of real-world scenarios, the Smart Safety Tracker generates detailed natural-language reports on violations, their severity, locations, and recommended corrective actions, improving inspector efficiency and risk management. This cutting-edge tool supports MoHRE’s strategic priority of promoting worker wellbeing by fostering safer, healthier, and sustainable workplaces.
Visitors to MoHRE’s pavilion at GITEX 2025 can witness live demonstrations showcasing the system’s real-time risk detection capabilities. The launch signifies a major milestone in digital transformation by converting on-site field data into timely, actionable safety insights, aligning with the UAE’s leadership vision in public service innovation and AI adoption.
