CBSE schools in UAE- Gulf Repost

Starting April 2026, all CBSE-affiliated schools in the UAE and GCC will adopt a new Global Curriculum designed to align with international education standards and India’s National Education Policy (NEP 2020).

Announced at the CBSE Sahodaya conference in Dubai, the initiative aims to modernise Indian-curriculum schools abroad with globally relevant learning outcomes and digital-first methods.

CBSE Director Dr Ram Shankar clarified that the new structure is not a separate board but an enhanced framework tailored for overseas schools. The curriculum will focus on critical thinking, flexibility, and global skill development while preserving CBSE’s core strengths.

Education regulators from KHDA, ADEK, and SPEA have welcomed the initiative, confirming regional cooperation for teacher training, assessment reforms, and implementation readiness.

Parents and educators expect the Global Curriculum to open more pathways for international university admissions, making CBSE schools in the Gulf more globally competitive.
