UAE fuel cost change October 2025 is closely anticipated by motorists as petrol and diesel prices are set to be announced soon. These monthly revisions play a key role in managing fuel budgets and daily expenses for residents across the UAE.

In September 2025, petrol prices rose slightly from August levels:

  • Super 98 petrol: Dh2.70 per litre

  • Special 95 petrol: Dh2.58 per litre

  • E-Plus petrol: Dh2.51 per litre

  • Diesel: Dh2.66 per litre, down from Dh2.78 in August

Since fuel prices were deregulated in 2015, the UAE’s monthly rates typically align with global oil market trends. With October prices expected around September 30, many drivers are speculating whether fuel costs will fall.

Globally, oil prices have risen this month. Brent crude stands at over $68 per barrel, and US crude is above $64. Increased costs stem from geopolitical tensions involving the US and Russia, and OPEC+ supply concerns. Additionally, US crude stockpiles recently decreased, adding further upward pressure, while diesel prices in Europe surged after Russian supply disruptions.

Conversely, supply-side factors may temper price rises. Iraq’s resumption of crude exports from its Kurdistan region could add approximately 230,000 barrels per day to the market. Moreover, higher OPEC+ output in September offsets some supply worries.

For UAE motorists, fuel prices could stay steady or increase slightly in October, though sharp spikes are unlikely unless geopolitical tensions escalate or supply disruptions occur unexpectedly.
