UAE digitally secure schools Aqdar initiative sets a global benchmark as the nation becomes the first to adopt a comprehensive framework for digital safety across all public and private schools. Launched by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Khalifa Empowerment Program (Aqdar) and defense tech group Edge, the program integrates robust cyber defense infrastructure with awareness campaigns for students, teachers, and parents.

Modeled on European Union standards for online safety, Aqdar aims to protect students and educators while bridging the digital divide in classrooms. The initiative promotes safe internet practices, helping schools resist cyber-attacks and fostering a culture of responsible digital usage.

Noura Yousif Al Baloushi from the Federal National Council highlights the evolving role of schools in not only delivering education but also narrowing socioeconomic disparities by equipping students with smart devices, internet access, and interactive learning platforms.

The program features interactive workshops and digital codes of conduct teaching children how to protect privacy, avoid online risks, and report suspicious content, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment supported by cutting-edge cybersecurity measures.
