UAE consular support for Golden Visa holders has reached a new milestone with the launch of a world-first consular package designed specifically for Golden Visa residents abroad. Unveiled by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) alongside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at GITEX Global 2025, the service promises rapid assistance including issuing return documents within 30 minutes, a dedicated 24/7 hotline, and repatriation aid in emergencies.
Shama Aldhaheri, SDO specialist at the ministry, emphasized that this initiative ensures continuous care and quick support, enabling Golden Visa holders to access return documents digitally via app or website without lengthy embassy visits. The hotline is dedicated exclusively for Golden Visa holders to assist in inquiries, crisis response, and evacuation.
In cases of death abroad, the ministry offers repatriation or burial support, helping families arrange final rites efficiently back in the UAE. The service rollout begins immediately, with further details on eligibility and app availability to be communicated via official channels.
This pioneering consular support bolsters the UAE’s commitment to providing comprehensive care and security to its long-term residents worldwide.
