The International Series Philippines 2025 is being hailed as ‘like a major’ by Filipino golfers due to its high-quality field and prestigious status. Scheduled from October 23 to 26 at Sta. Elena Golf Club near Manila, the tournament is one of nine enhanced Asian Tour events offering a $2 million prize fund, significantly higher than regular events.

Veteran Angelo Que, a three-time Asian Tour winner, expressed his excitement to compete alongside golfing legends such as former Masters champions Patrick Reed, Dustin Johnson, and Charl Schwartzel, plus British Open winner Louis Oosthuizen. This elite lineup represents the strongest ever gathered for a golf tournament in the Philippines.

“Playing next to these world-class players is an honour,” said Que. “The International Series takes the competition to another level, making it feel like a major for local golfers.”

Former world number one Dustin Johnson, playing in the Philippines for the first time, praised the quality of the field and hopes the event will boost golf’s popularity further. Patrick Reed, a seasoned international traveler and defender of the Hong Kong Open title, welcomes new venues like this as crucial for expanding golf’s reach in Asia.

Local favorite Miguel Tabuena, ranked inside the Asian Tour’s top 25, is competing on his home course. Acknowledging pressure, Tabuena said, “You have to face it head-on, but it’s a proud moment to play where I grew up. This is the biggest event the Philippines has hosted.”

The International Series Philippines combines world-class competition with entertainment, featured concerts, premium hospitality, and fan engagement activities, spotlighting the country as a rising golf destination.
