The UAE to train 1000 Emirati family entrepreneurs as part of the national campaign “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World,” launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. This ambitious initiative, announced by the Ministries of Economy and Tourism and Community Empowerment, aims to equip Emirati families across the country with practical skills in entrepreneurship, business establishment, and project management.

Implemented in partnership with the New Economy Academy and the National CSR Fund – Majra, the development program focuses on strengthening the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and bolstering SME capabilities aligned with market quality and competitiveness.

Over five years, the program will train approximately 200 families annually, providing technical assistance and business development support to ensure sustainable growth and long-term success. Participants will benefit from comprehensive training, capacity-building, and marketing guidance, fostering self-reliance and encouraging local production.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, emphasized that empowering Emirati family entrepreneurs supports the UAE’s broader entrepreneurial and SME development strategies. Aisha Ahmed Yousef, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Community Empowerment, highlighted entrepreneurship as a top priority for sustainable economic growth.

This national initiative addresses the rising number of Emirati family entrepreneurs and aims to nurture innovation, self-sufficiency, and business leadership across generations, contributing significantly to the UAE’s diversified economy and Vision 2071.
