Luxury Car Forgery Case

Abu Dhabi court orders Dh1.3 million repayment in a high-profile luxury car forgery case involving illegal ownership transfer. The Civil, Family and Administrative Court found four men guilty of forging documents connected to the transfer of luxury vehicles worth Dh4.5 million, with authorities recovering two cars and one valued at Dh1.1 million still missing.

Previously, the Abu Dhabi Criminal Court sentenced the defendants to five years’ imprisonment, Dh150,000 fines, and deportation. One defendant successfully appealed to reduce his prison term to one year and have the fine waived, but convictions were upheld. The civil court’s ruling mandates joint compensation payment to the victim for financial and moral harm caused.
