U.S. Strike on Pacific Drug Boat Kills Four Gulf Repost

The United States Department of Defense confirmed that four people were killed in a U.S. strike on a Pacific drug boat during a targeted operation in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that the vessel was operating along a known narcotics route and was “carrying illegal drugs.”

The strike is part of Washington’s ongoing campaign against suspected drug-smuggling networks operating at sea. Since early September, similar U.S. operations have reportedly destroyed multiple vessels, killing more than 60 individuals accused of trafficking narcotics.

According to the Defense Department, the latest operation occurred in international waters with no U.S. casualties reported. A released video showed the small craft engulfed in flames shortly after impact.

However, the repeated strikes have sparked growing concern among lawmakers and international observers. Critics have called for transparency about the legal basis and intelligence behind these missions, arguing that such unilateral military actions risk escalating tensions in global maritime zones.
