Abu Dhabi Labour Court

Abu Dhabi Labour Court (First Instance) has ruled in favor of a former employee, ordering a company to pay Dh83,560 for unpaid wages and end-of-service benefits after nearly 12 years of service. The worker initially claimed Dh11,000 for overdue salary, Dh59,000 as end-of-service gratuity, and Dh15,000 in compensation for unused annual leave, totaling Dh85,000 plus legal fees.

The court validated the employment contract lasting about 12 years and confirmed the employee’s entitlement to full labour rights under UAE Labour Law. The judgment was declared immediately enforceable, with the company required to pay the owed amount along with court fees.
