SPARK and Aster DM Healthcare executives sign the master research collaboration agreement at Sharjah Next: Healthcare forum.

Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SPARK) and Aster DM Healthcare have signed a master research collaboration to accelerate medical innovation in the UAE, focusing on AI diagnostics, bio-innovation and the commercialisation of healthcare technologies. The agreement was announced at the Sharjah Next: Healthcare forum and was signed by SPARK and Aster leadership in the presence of senior dignitaries.
The partnership will connect SPARK’s research infrastructure and innovation ecosystem with Aster’s clinical expertise and network of hospitals and clinics. Joint projects will prioritise practical solutions that move from lab to bedside — including smart medical devices, data-driven care models and talent development programmes to train the next generation of clinician-researchers.
Officials said the memorandum includes clear frameworks for intellectual property, data governance and ethical standards to enable responsible research and faster commercialisation. The collaboration also aims to foster academic links and accelerator programmes that help startups scale healthcare solutions within the UAE and the wider region.
