This strategic leadership change ushers in a new era under Dr. Mohamed’s guidance, focused on operational excellence, innovation, and global growth.
Joining him, Hamad Husein Al Marzooqi takes on the role of Deputy CEO, while Atif Azeem and Khalid Abdallah Al-Kaf have been appointed Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of Pharma Logistics, respectively. These key appointments underscore Mubadala Bio’s commitment to enhancing its global footprint and operational capabilities.
With over 30 years in the pharmaceutical sector, Dr. Mohamed brings extensive experience in corporate transformations, regulatory frameworks, and startup growth across multiple regions including the UAE. Hamad Al Marzooqi, with two decades of international experience, most recently led Mubadala’s Life Sciences Cluster, positioning him well to support the company’s expansion.
Atif Azeem offers nearly 30 years of expertise in finance and investment, and Khalid Al-Kaf complements the leadership team with two decades in logistics, IT, and digital innovation.
Mubadala Bio operates through two core verticals: Integrated Biopharma and Pharma Logistics. These divisions focus on local pharmaceutical manufacturing, enhancing national drug security, and ensuring timely access to essential medicines, supporting the UAE’s broader economic diversification goals.
Headquartered in Abu Dhabi and fully owned by Mubadala Investment Company, Mubadala Bio continues to expand its presence across the UAE, Asia, Africa, and Europe.
