The announcements came during a plenary session at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Leadership Forum, emphasizing Sheikh Mohammed’s leadership and commitment to resident wellbeing.

Making Education More Affordable

Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), pointed out the high investment families make in education, noting a proposal to introduce incentives for non-profit schools to lower costs. KHDA is reviewing school cost structures and land allocation policies to facilitate establishing affordable schools without compromising quality. The education strategy, Education 33 (E33), targets placing Dubai among the world’s top 10 cities for education quality and as a leading international student destination.

Enhancing Livability and Safety

Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, reaffirmed the goal to make Dubai more livable, safe, and people happier. Prioritizing digital services and human capital development, the municipality also focuses on rural areas and infrastructure improvements, preparing the city for future challenges including extreme rainfall.

Healthcare Advancements

Dr Amer Ahmad Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health, highlighted the “patient first” approach and strong collaboration between government and private sectors to expand healthcare services, including advanced surgeries and reducing appointment wait times. Dubai Health integrates education, research, and philanthropy to support long-term health goals aligned with Dubai Plan 2033.

Sheikh Mohammed’s Leadership and Happiness Priority

Abdulla Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai, celebrated Sheikh Mohammed’s visionary leadership that transformed Dubai through infrastructure and innovative initiatives. He stressed that the ultimate priority is resident happiness, which increased from 63% thirty years ago to 93.8% recently. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Leadership Forum gathers government and private sector leaders to drive this vision forward, focusing on leadership transformation and Dubai’s future as the world’s best city.
