Dubai, UAE – September 29, 2025 – The UAE government has unveiled a set of new visa categories aimed at attracting global talent, boosting tourism, and supporting humanitarian initiatives. The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) confirmed that these UAE new visa categories will strengthen the country’s position as a hub for innovation and international business.
The UAE has launched multiple UAE new visa categories targeting professionals in emerging industries:
AI Specialists – Attracting global talent to support AI research, development, and technological innovation in the UAE.
Entertainment and Events Experts – Facilitating professionals who contribute to the UAE’s dynamic entertainment and events sector.
Cruise Ship and Leisure Crew – Meeting staffing demands in the expanding maritime tourism industry.
Tourism and Leisure Workers – Supporting the UAE’s booming tourism infrastructure and services.
The government has introduced a Humanitarian Residence Permit, valid for one year with the option to renew. This new category aligns with the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian support and allows individuals in need of protection to live safely in the country.
The UAE now offers a Residency Permit for Foreign Widows and Divorcees, valid for one year. This UAE new visa category aims to provide stability and legal residency for individuals in challenging circumstances, with eligibility for extensions under specific conditions.
The Visit Visa for Friends and Relatives allows UAE residents to sponsor close family members and friends up to the third degree. The visa eligibility depends on the sponsor’s income, strengthening family and social connections within the UAE.
The Business Exploration Visa targets entrepreneurs and investors who wish to explore new business opportunities in the UAE. Applicants must provide proof of financial solvency, ownership of an existing business abroad, or relevant professional practice.
To address logistics and supply chain demands, the UAE has launched a Truck Driver Visa. Applicants must meet health, financial, and sponsorship requirements.
All UAE new visa categories come with clear duration guidelines and extension rules to ensure transparency and convenience for applicants and sponsors.
