Ukrainian crypto mogul Konstantin Galich, also known as Kostya Kudo, was found dead inside his Lamborghini Urus in Kyiv’s Obolonskyi district on Saturday. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and a firearm registered in his name was discovered at the scene. Authorities are investigating the incident as a possible suicide, though foul play has not been ruled out.
Galich had reportedly expressed feelings of depression related to financial difficulties and had sent a farewell message to his family prior to his death. His passing coincided with a significant downturn in the cryptocurrency market, which lost approximately $400 billion in value within 24 hours. The crash was triggered by U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of a 100% tariff on Chinese imports and export controls on critical software, prompting global market turmoil.
Galich was a prominent figure in the crypto community, co-founding the Cryptology Key trading academy and amassing over 66,000 followers on Instagram. His death has sent shockwaves through the industry, raising concerns about the mental health challenges faced by individuals in high-stress financial sectors.
