  • Music controls: The Apple Music mini-player will support swipe gestures to skip songs.

  • UI customization: Users can toggle Liquid Glass between a more transparent “Clear” mode and a more readable “Tinted” mode under Settings → Display & Brightness.

  • Security enhancements: A new “Background Security Improvements” toggle will automatically install critical security patches without interrupting users.

  • Translation and language expansion: iOS 26.1 adds support for more languages in Live Translation for AirPods and Apple Intelligence, improving accessibility.

  • UI tweaks: Updates to the Phone app keypad, Photos video scrubber, and Calendar event list view enhance the overall user experience.

  • Alarm redesign: The Clock app introduces a “slide to stop” alarm feature to reduce accidental dismissals.
