The 2025 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is poised to set new records both on and off the track. Organizers Ethara have announced that the Yas Marina Circuit is expected to host over 192,000 fans, surpassing last year’s attendance and marking a significant milestone for the event.

The championship battle is intensifying, with McLaren teammates Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris leading the standings. Piastri holds a narrow lead with 324 points, while Norris trails closely with 299 points. Four-time world champion Max Verstappen is also in contention, with 255 points, setting the stage for a thrilling title showdown in Abu Dhabi from December 4–7.

In 2024, the Grand Prix attracted 192,000 fans over four days, generating Dh1.25 billion in visitor spend—a 6.8% increase from the previous record. Notably, 70% of attendees traveled from abroad, with over half visiting Abu Dhabi for the first time. The Yasalam After-Race Concerts also drew record crowds, with 110,000 fans attending four nights of live music at Etihad Park.

The momentum has carried into 2025, with the majority of tickets already sold out. Saif Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, expressed excitement about the event’s evolution into a premier entertainment and tourism destination, stating, “Fans are telling us they trust in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix experience and everything it brings both on and off the track.”

As the championship battle heats up, all eyes will be on Abu Dhabi for what promises to be an unforgettable finale to the 2025 Formula 1 season.
