Asia Cup 2025 cricket donations terror victims made headlines as India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav pledged his entire match fees—totalling ₹28 lakh (₹4 lakh per match for seven games)—to the Indian Armed Forces and families of those affected by the Pahalgam terror attack in April. The move was quickly matched by Pakistan’s captain Salman Ali Agha, who announced the Pakistani team would donate their match fees to support “civilians and children” affected during “Operation Sindoor,” following retaliatory military action in May.

This display of compassion came after India clinched their ninth Asia Cup title in a gripping final, defeating Pakistan by five wickets. The Indian team earned a record $300,000 prize purse, up 50% from 2023’s tournament, while Pakistan received $75,000 as runners-up. On the pitch, younger stars such as Tilak Varma (unbeaten 69*) and Kuldeep Yadav (4/30) were key to India’s decisive win.
