A tragic bus fire in the early hours in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh has left around 32 people feared dead after a coach en route from Hyderabad to Bengaluru burst into flames following a collision with a two‑wheeler. The incident happened near Chinna Tekuru village on the Hyderabad–Bengaluru highway, with eyewitnesses reporting a rapid spread of fire that trapped many sleeping passengers.
The luxury bus reportedly had around 40 people on board when the accident occurred. Some passengers managed to escape by breaking windows, but the intense blaze prevented most from getting out in time.
State authorities have launched a full investigation, and both the chief minister and prime minister have expressed their condolences to the victims’ families.
