Captain Dr Engineer Salem Al Marri received the honor from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, in November 2025 after dominating every stage of the intense competition.

Dubai Police Al Marri’s Academic and Professional Journey
Captain Al Marri joined Dubai Police in 2016, excelling in Artificial Intelligence before transitioning to Anti-Narcotics. Sponsored by Dubai Police, he earned electronic engineering credentials in 2012, followed by a master’s in electrical engineering with AI facial recognition research (2017-2025).
He became the first Emirati PhD graduate from Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, specializing in computer vision. Awards include Individual Excellence Medal in Science and Future Technology, Mother of the Nation Medal, and Dubai Youth Council contributions—named best youth council in 2022.
