Dubai recorded 1.04 million British tourists in the first nine months of 2025, marking a 13% year-on-year increase and reinforcing the UK’s position as one of the city’s most important visitor markets.
Dubai-UK tourism surge
According to Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, the city welcomed an average of 115,500 British visitors per month, equivalent to nearly 3,800 arrivals per day. The UK now accounts for over one-third of all Western European visitors to Dubai and represents 7.5% of the city’s total international arrivals so far this year.
The sustained influx reflects Dubai’s strong tourism appeal among British travellers. Luxury hotels, year-round sunshine, shopping festivals, culinary events, and adventure activities continue to draw UK visitors in large numbers.
Airlines have also supported the growth by maintaining extensive connectivity between Dubai and major UK cities, ensuring smooth travel and competitive fares. This frequent flight network remains a major factor behind the steady rise in British arrivals.
Dubai has reached 13.95 million international arrivals in the first nine months of 2025, putting the city on track for another record-breaking tourism year. The sharp rise in British visitors significantly strengthens Dubai’s global tourism strategy, which focuses on attracting high-value markets and offering diverse experiences that appeal to different traveller segments.
Dubai’s marketing campaigns in the UK — including partnerships with travel agents, digital promotions, and destination showcases — have contributed to the continued momentum.
The Dubai-UK tourism surge is likely to continue as the city expands its hospitality offerings and enhances visitor experiences. With new attractions, luxury resorts, sports events, and cultural activities planned for 2026, Dubai is well positioned to draw even more British travellers.
As visitor demand grows, investments in aviation, entertainment, and retail sectors are expected to rise, further strengthening Dubai’s role as a world-leading tourism destination.
