The futuristic silver trains feature three seating classes—Economy with dark grey face-to-face seats, Family with wider seats and longer central tables, and First Class offering wider, adjustable seats for enhanced comfort. Inside each coach, foldable tables and overhead luggage compartments provide convenience, along with dedicated space for bulkier bags.
Passengers will enter stations via smart electronic gates scanning tickets booked online or purchased at sleek black-and-grey vending machines that accept cash, cards, and Apple Pay. The system allows easy class selection, station choices, and special requests, facilitating a seamless travel experience.
Once operational in 2026, trains will reach speeds up to 200 km/h, shortening the journey from Abu Dhabi to Dubai to just 57 minutes. Trips to Fujairah and Ruwais will also be significantly faster. The fleet includes Chinese CRC coaches with 365 seats and Spanish CAF coaches with 369 seats, maintaining the same class structure albeit with minor design variations.
Crew members will wear distinctive cream-and-red uniforms, while drivers will don grey-and-black attire, enhancing the premium feel. This ambitious project is among the largest infrastructure initiatives in the UAE, expected to transform connectivity and boost economic growth.
