Kuwait has inaugurated the Messilah Beach redevelopment project, a major coastal revitalisation effort supporting the country’s national tourism strategy to enhance tourism and leisure infrastructure. This family-friendly 70,000-square-metre destination features a 250-metre beachfront with four swimming pools, sports courts, a Sky Trail adventure course, children’s play areas, an outdoor theatre, gardens, and 350 shaded parking spaces.
Managed by United Projects for Aviation Services (UPAC) in partnership with Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC) and the private sector, the redevelopment blends cultural, environmental, and recreational elements to create an inclusive and modern leisure venue. Messilah Beach aims to serve as a key hub for family leisure, offering contemporary amenities that meet operational and environmental standards.
This launch aligns with Kuwait’s broader tourism agenda, which includes the upcoming Visit Kuwait digital platform to centralise visitor services such as e-visas, interactive maps, and cultural information. The redevelopment reflects Kuwait’s ambition to diversify its economy, attract regional and domestic tourists, and establish world-class coastal and urban attractions for a vibrant tourism sector.
