The MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup 2025 has kicked off at Qatar’s Lusail Karting Circuit with a record-breaking 173 drivers from 18 nations, signaling a major breakthrough for regional motorsport. Organized by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) under the supervision of the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile), this third edition marks another milestone in promoting grassroots racing talent across the Middle East and North Africa.
Representing countries including Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, and Tunisia, the event runs from October 21–25, featuring rigorous practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and finals spanning multiple categories.
FIA President and event founder Mohammed Ben Sulayem emphasized the championship’s mission to nurture regional talent:
“With more countries taking part, this year’s Nations Cup reflects how motorsport has evolved across the region, opening new opportunities for young karting stars. My appreciation goes to QMMF and its President Abdulrahman bin Abdullatif Al Mannai for hosting this world-class event.”
The competition features eight major karting categories, including six Rotax Max Challenge classes (Micro Max, Mini Max, Junior Max, Senior Max, DD2, and DD2 Masters) and R390 Sprint and Endurance classes for drivers aged 15 and above.
Last year, Lebanon claimed the overall Nations Cup title, with Morocco finishing second and the UAE in third place. This year’s event is expected to be even more intense, highlighting national pride and personal achievements.
QMMF President Abdulrahman Al Mannai stated:
“We’re proud to host the MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup again, providing a platform for young drivers to develop their skills and pursue excellence. This event aligns with the Qatar National Vision 2030, emphasizing innovation, youth empowerment, and community engagement in sports.”
Spectators can enjoy free admission to the championship, including fan-favorite activities such as racing simulators, gaming experiences, and a vibrant entertainment zone. For international fans, all events are streamed live on QMMF’s official YouTube channel.
