Despite three consecutive Asia Cup defeats to India, Yousuf called for calm and emphasized the need for focused, disciplined effort rather than panic.

In a statement on social media platform X, Yousuf wrote: “There’s no need to panic or overreact – we don’t need miracles, just a few months of focused, disciplined effort. With the right intent, the right people who understand the game, and true teamwork, we can bring this team back to its best.”

Pakistan now turns their attention to the home series against South Africa starting October 12, 2025. The tour features two Test matches, three T20 Internationals, and three One Day Internationals, concluding on November 8.

The battleground will include historic venues such as Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium (first Test) and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium (second Test and opening T20I), with remaining T20Is in Lahore and the ODI leg set for Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium.

This packed schedule offers Pakistan a valuable opportunity to regroup, rebuild momentum, and refine combinations as they prepare for a demanding international cricket calendar.
