Saudi Arabia has set a new benchmark in global travel as Saudi tourism 116 million visitors milestone was recorded in 2024, with total spending climbing to SR 284 billion.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, the surge represents a 6% year-on-year growth in visitor numbers. Inbound international tourists contributed SR 168.5 billion (≈ USD 45 billion), reflecting a 19% increase compared to 2023. Domestic travel spending also grew steadily, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s expanding tourism ecosystem.

Officials highlighted that Saudi Arabia maintained its position as the world’s fastest-growing tourism market in 2025, with Q1 international arrivals exceeding pre-pandemic levels by 102%.
