Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Border Security Council, conducted a detailed inspection of Dubai International Airport (DXB) to review how government agencies are managing the surge in passenger numbers and to evaluate operational standards. Accompanied by senior officials, Sheikh Mansoor visited central functions led by Dubai Police, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai Customs, and the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. He emphasized that close coordination and efficient processes are key to maintaining Dubai’s global reputation for aviation safety and swift passenger management.
Dubai International Airport saw a 2.3% increase in passenger traffic in the first half of 2025, reaching a record 46 million travelers, with 8.5 million served in January alone. The growth strengthens Dubai’s role as a vital global aviation hub and sets high standards internationally.
Sheikh Mansoor credited the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum for Dubai’s strategic advancement in aviation. He highlighted investments in digital technologies and collaboration among agencies as crucial to sustaining safety, efficiency, and traveler satisfaction. The visit aligns with ongoing government efforts to reinforce border security and ensure seamless passenger flow at a time when Dubai’s airport remains a key international travel gateway.
