The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) has updated UAE entry visa rules friends relatives, introducing specific income requirements for foreign residents sponsoring visitors under existing visa categories.

To sponsor first-degree relatives such as parents, spouses, or children, expatriate residents must now have a minimum monthly income of Dh4,000. For second- or third-degree relatives, the income threshold increases to Dh8,000 per month. Sponsoring friends requires an even higher minimum income of Dh15,000 monthly.

The ICP clarified the decision’s intent is to provide clearer sponsorship conditions and ensure sponsors have adequate financial means to support visitors throughout their stay in the UAE, enhancing transparency and compliance.
