UAE AI work permit system marks a major leap in digital transformation as the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) launched the ‘Eye’ system at GITEX Global 2025. This smart platform automates the verification of work permit documents such as passports, photos, and academic certificates using artificial intelligence, minimising manual errors and accelerating administrative procedures.
Rashid Hassan Al Saadi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Market Services at MoHRE, described ‘Eye’ as a significant advancement that enhances government service delivery, supporting the UAE’s vision for AI leadership and operational excellence.
The system improves customer experience by expediting transactions, ensuring high document quality, and lowering processing times. Alongside ‘Eye,’ MoHRE introduced other digital innovations like Work Bundle and Smart Safety Tracker, aiming to create a seamless, efficient work environment and foster a flexible labor market.
By reducing bureaucracy and enhancing accuracy, the AI-enabled ‘Eye’ system positions the UAE as a pioneer in smart government services and workforce management.
