Global Filipino superstar Kathryn Bernardo is all set to make history once again — this time not on the silver screen, but at the world-renowned Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, where her wax figure will be unveiled in 2026. The beloved actress, often hailed as the “Phenomenal Box-Office Queen,” joins the ranks of Asia’s most influential personalities to receive this honour.
The 29-year-old actress shared her excitement about the recognition, calling it a dream come true. “I can’t believe this is happening. To be part of Madame Tussauds is an honour, and I’m so thankful for everyone who made this possible,” Bernardo said during the announcement. The upcoming wax figure will capture her signature elegance and warmth, symbolising her journey from a local star to one of the Philippines’ most globally recognised celebrities.
Bernardo’s wax figure is currently in production, created by expert sculptors who meticulously work from hundreds of photographs and measurements to ensure an exact likeness. The process, expected to take several months, reflects her cultural impact and international popularity.
The decision to feature Kathryn Bernardo follows her unprecedented box-office success earlier this year with Hello, Love, Again, which became the first Filipino film to gross over ₱1 billion worldwide. Her achievement not only highlights her acting prowess but also cements her as a leading figure in bringing Filipino cinema to the global stage.
When unveiled, Kathryn will join fellow Filipino icons such as Pia Wurtzbach, Manny Pacquiao, and Anne Curtis, who have previously been immortalised at Madame Tussauds. The exhibit will also include behind-the-scenes footage of the creation process and a short film chronicling Kathryn’s journey to fame.
Fans across Asia are eagerly awaiting the 2026 unveiling ceremony, expected to draw huge crowds and international media attention. For the UAE’s large Filipino community, this recognition represents a proud cultural moment — showcasing the global rise of Filipino talent on one of the world’s most prestigious platforms.
