In an emotional post ahead of his last film’s release, Assam’s beloved singer‑actor Zubeen Garg’s wife, Garima Saikia Garg, has shared his final handwritten note addressed to fans. The message, penned on September 15, reads: “Roi Roi Binale. Mur notun cinema. Sabole aahibo. ‘Morom’. Zubeen da” — translated: “My new film. Do come and watch it. With love, Zubeen.”
Alongside the note, Garima wrote in Assamese: “Every word hits the heart, Goldie! But amongst all this, there’s burning in the empty chest. Another question — what happened on September 19? How, why? I don’t know where there is peace, but I don’t feel like breathing until I get this answer.”
The message was posted ahead of the release of his final film, Roi Roi Binale, which opens in Assam on October 31. The film, starring Zubeen as a blind musician and featuring his own compositions, takes on added significance following his untimely death in Singapore on September 19 at the age of 52.
With the handwritten note going viral, fans and colleagues have been moved by the deeply personal appeal — merging gratitude for his work with unresolved grief over his sudden passing.
