flydubai’s recent launch of a four-times-weekly service to Nairobi marks a significant boost in connections between the UAE and Kenya, reinforcing the airline’s growing footprint across Africa. Starting October 1, the carrier now operates 11 weekly flights to Kenya, including a daily service to the coastal city of Mombasa, positioning Kenya as a key hub in flydubai’s African network.

The inaugural Nairobi flight landed at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, greeted by a traditional water cannon salute with senior officials from the Kenya Tourism Board, Kenya Association of Travel Agents, and Kenya Airports Authority present. This expansion underscores Kenya’s role as East Africa’s largest economy and a vital business, financial, and tourism gateway.

Flights to Nairobi operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport. Economy fares start from Dh1,450, while Business Class returns begin at Dh4,500. Nairobi offers access to renowned attractions such as Nairobi National Park, the Giraffe Centre, vibrant markets, and rich cultural sites appealing to leisure and business travelers alike.

With a presence now across 12 African destinations in eight countries, including Cairo, Addis Ababa, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, and Zanzibar, flydubai continues to strengthen its position as a key player in regional connectivity. Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at flydubai, expressed gratitude to Kenyan authorities and partners and underscored the airline’s commitment to providing convenient and comfortable travel experiences.
