Dubai’s Salik toll system has taken a major step forward in customer convenience with the launch of its WhatsApp channel alongside an upgraded mobile app.

Dubai Salik toll system has taken a major step forward in customer convenience with the launch of its WhatsApp channel alongside an upgraded mobile app. Drivers can now renew insurance, check toll balances, make payments, and manage accounts directly from their phones 24/7, making Salik’s services more accessible and frictionless.

Since January 2025, Salik’s digital ecosystem has processed over 10.5 million transactions with a 92% customer satisfaction rate, reflecting high acceptance of digital-first interactions. The introduction of WhatsApp as a communication channel adds to Salik’s nine existing touchpoints, including its website, social media platforms, SMS, and partnerships with UAE’s Roads and Transport Authority, Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, Careem, and major banks.

Salik continues to invest in advanced technology such as vehicle recognition systems with 99.9% accuracy for seamless toll gate operation and is expanding its eWallet service to cover more smart payment options beyond toll fees.
