Dubai: A massive Dubai warehouse fire broke out on Tuesday evening in the Al Quoz industrial area, engulfing a large bicycle storage facility near Sheikh Zayed Road. Thanks to the swift response of the Dubai Civil Defence teams, the blaze was contained before it could spread to nearby buildings.
According to officials, the fire started around midday and quickly grew due to flammable materials inside the warehouse. Multiple firefighting units from Al Quoz, Barsha, and Al Rashidiya stations were immediately dispatched to the scene. Thick plumes of black smoke were visible from a distance, prompting temporary traffic diversions on adjoining roads to ensure public safety.
Authorities confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported. Firefighters managed to control the situation within hours, successfully preventing damage to surrounding properties and adjacent warehouses. Cooling operations were carried out to eliminate any risk of re-ignition.
Videos and images shared online showed the scale of the fire, with emergency personnel working tirelessly under challenging conditions. The rapid response of Dubai’s emergency services once again highlighted their preparedness in managing large-scale incidents efficiently.
Civil Defence teams are now investigating the cause of the Dubai warehouse fire, which remains unknown at this stage. Officials emphasized that strict safety inspections and preventive checks will continue across industrial areas to minimize fire risks, particularly in storage and logistics facilities.
Residents in nearby neighborhoods were advised to avoid the area during firefighting operations, as strong winds carried smoke across parts of Al Quoz and Sheikh Zayed Road. Traffic returned to normal later in the day after authorities declared the area safe.
Dubai’s Civil Defence continues to urge business owners and warehouse operators to follow all fire safety protocols, ensure regular equipment maintenance, and keep emergency exits accessible at all times.
