The Dubai Fountain has officially reopened after nearly six months of renovation, and with it comes the chance to enjoy one of the city’s most magical experiences — the lake ride on Burj Lake. If you want a peaceful, front-row view of the fountain show with the Burj Khalifa as your backdrop, here’s how to make the most of it.
The ticket for the Dubai Fountain lake ride costs AED 68.25 per person, while children under the age of three can join for free. Rides operate daily from 5:45 PM to 10:45 PM, offering plenty of opportunities to catch the spectacular show from the water.
To book your ride, visit the official Burj Khalifa website and navigate to the “Experiences” section. Select the “Dubai Fountain Lake Ride” option, choose your preferred date and time slot, and confirm the number of tickets. Once you fill in your personal details — including your name, email, phone number, nationality, and date of birth — complete the payment process online. You’ll receive an e-ticket by email, which you can show at the designated ticket booth at the Dubai Fountain on the day of your ride.
The fountain shows run in two main sessions. Evening shows take place every 30 minutes between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM, while afternoon shows run from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM between Saturday and Thursday, and from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM on Fridays.
Following its renovation, the Dubai Fountain now features a beautiful glowing blue tile floor beneath the lake, improved lighting effects, and enhanced water choreography — all designed to elevate the overall experience for visitors.
To enjoy the show without the rush, it’s best to book in advance, especially during weekends or tourist seasons. Choosing an earlier evening slot can help you avoid the biggest crowds. Arriving a little before your scheduled time also ensures a calm boarding experience. For a quieter visit, weekdays are generally the most peaceful.
