UAE T20 World Cup Qualifier 2025 campaign kicks off as the team faces Qatar in the opening match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia Pacific Qualifier held in Oman. The tournament features nine teams across three groups competing from October 8 to 17, aiming for the top three positions that will secure a place at the global T20 World Cup hosted by India and Sri Lanka in early 2026.

The UAE, placed in Group A alongside Malaysia and Qatar, must first advance to the Super Six stage where the best six teams battle in a round-robin format. The top three teams from the Super Six qualify for the World Cup, joining pre-qualified heavyweights including India, Australia, Pakistan, and others.

This year’s qualifier, hosted at the Oman Cricket Academy in Al Amerat, also stretches beyond Asia by incorporating East Asia Pacific teams, raising the competitive level. UAE coach Rajput expressed confidence in the team’s upward trajectory following recent victories, including a historic series win over Bangladesh in Sharjah.
