Dubai Police have issued a strong warning to citizens and expatriates about the rise of fake job ads high salaries UAE scams circulating on social media platforms. These fraudulent job listings often promise large pay for part-time work or minimal experience, but are designed to trick applicants into paying fees, sharing sensitive documents, or submitting personal information. Many victims report being pressured to act quickly to secure the “opportunity,” only to find the job doesn’t exist once payment or personal data is provided.
Authorities advise job seekers to verify the legitimacy of job offers by checking whether the hiring company is registered, if the communication is coming through official channels, and whether there are hidden upfront fees for things like training, visa processing, or contract signing. Genuine employers in Dubai do not ask for money from applicants for employment or work permits.
To stay safe, Dubai Police recommend reporting suspicious job ads to the eCrime platform, keeping records of all communication, and consulting the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation when necessary. Recognizing the signs of a scam can protect your finances and personal security.
