Whether traveling for work, leisure, or family visits, expats can obtain either a visa on arrival or a GCC resident eVisa, available exclusively for certain approved professions.

Visa Options for UAE Residents Traveling to Oman

UAE expats have two visa options to enter Oman without sponsorship:

  • Visa on Arrival: Available at Muscat International Airport and Oman’s land borders, with a 28-day stay allowance.

  • GCC Resident eVisa: Applied online via the Royal Oman Police (ROP) eVisa portal (evisa.rop.gov.om), valid for 28 days.

Both visa types require that your occupation, as shown on your Emirates ID, belongs to Oman’s approved professions list. Those not on the list must apply for a sponsored visa through a travel agent, Oman embassy, or family sponsorship.
