Dubai SME, Emarat Partner To Boost Emirati Startups With New Growth Incentives

Dubai SME, a division of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has formed a strategic alliance with Emarat – Emirates Petroleum Company, to propel Emirati-owned startups forward and broaden opportunities within Dubai’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Dubai SME, a division of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has formed a strategic alliance with Emarat – Emirates Petroleum Company, to propel Emirati-owned startups forward and broaden opportunities within Dubai’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through this partnership, Dubai SME members will benefit from significant incentives designed to reduce operating expenses and enhance market visibility.

The agreement includes discounts on registration fees, per-product charges, and preferential rates for advertising, payment processing, and logistics. Startups will also gain access to reduced rental costs for kiosks, pop-up stores, and display areas throughout Emarat’s extensive network. Additionally, the partnership introduces a revenue-sharing model aimed at fostering sustainable business growth.

This initiative supports Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, targeting to double the emirate’s economy by 2033, alongside the UAE Year of Community 2025, which focuses on nurturing entrepreneurship and skills development.

Ahmad Al Room Almheiri, Acting CEO of Dubai SME, emphasized that this alliance reinforces the vital role of public-private collaboration in nurturing Dubai’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and elevating Emirati talent. Ali Zayed Al Falasi, Acting Chief Retail Officer at Emarat, highlighted the concrete support for startups, including access to premium display areas and cost advantages enabling faster growth.

Dubai SME targets the launch of 8,000 new Emirati-owned enterprises by 2033, boosting the total supported businesses from 19,000 in 2024 to 27,000. The partnership is key to achieving these goals, strengthening Dubai’s diversified economic base.
