Emirates UAE India travel rules e-Arrival Card mandatory from Oct 1

Emirates has issued a travel advisory alerting Dubai flyers of the new Emirates UAE India travel rules taking effect from October 1, 2025. As per the update, all non-Indian nationals flying from the UAE to India are now required to complete a free e-Arrival Card via India’s Bureau of Immigration website. The card must be submitted between 72 hours and 24 hours before departure. Failure to comply may result in longer immigration wait times in India and potential delays in onward travel.

To ease the transition, Emirates is urging travellers to review and update their contact information through the “Manage Your Booking” portal so they receive timely instructions and alerts. The e-Arrival Card initiative is part of India’s efforts to digitize immigration, replacing paper disembarkation forms and simplifying arrival procedures at major airports. While Indian nationals and OCI cardholders are exempt, this rule change applies to all other foreigners travelling to India via Emirates.

Travellers should treat this as part of the Emirates UAE India travel rules overhaul, ensuring documents are completed before boarding to avoid disruptions and delays at immigration checkpoints.
