Messi Cup Miami 2025 is set to debut as a one-of-a-kind global youth football tournament, designed to spotlight the stars of tomorrow and foster cultural exchange through sport. Launched by Lionel Messi’s company, 525 Rosario, the event runs from December 9 to 14, 2025, in Miami, featuring under-16 teams from eight of the world’s elite academies.
Hosted at Miami’s iconic venues—including Inter Miami CF’s Chase Stadium and the Florida Blue Training Center—the Messi Cup will feature 18 matches over six days. But it’s more than just a competition: on-field action will be paired with cultural events and an industry summit at Faena Forum, where thought leaders in football, business, and entertainment will discuss sport’s role in shaping communities and innovation.
Participating Clubs:
Inter Miami CF
FC Barcelona
Manchester City
River Plate
Inter Milan
Newell’s Old Boys
Atletico de Madrid
Chelsea FC
The format will see two groups of four teams each, leading to playoffs and a final. The Messi Cup is an unparalleled platform for top academies to expose their youth to global standards, build international relationships, and inspire the next footballing generation through high visibility and mentorship.
Tim Pastore, CEO of 525 Rosario, emphasizes that the Messi Cup is about creating legacies, “where today’s game meets tomorrow’s players,” and celebrating talent and community beyond the pitch.
