This bold initiative guarantees that eligible elderly residents with limited income will receive comprehensive home care services without deductions from their monthly social assistance.
Maryam Majid Al Shamsi, Chairperson of Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), affirmed that any deductions applied this month will be refunded, reflecting the leadership’s deep commitment to enhancing the well-being and dignity of Sharjah’s senior population.
The initiative is part of Sharjah’s ongoing agenda to provide compassionate, equitable care to its elderly community, supporting their independence and quality of life within their homes. It complements other emirate-wide efforts that include social support, healthcare, and active engagement programs, underscoring Sharjah as a model for senior citizen welfare in the region.
