The emirate of Umm Al Quwain has officially opened applications for its winter camping permits for the 2025-2026 season, inviting families and outdoor enthusiasts to experience the emirate’s scenic beauty at designated sites in Aqran and Thunaiyah.
The new season begins on November 11 and runs until the end of April 2026, allowing campers to enjoy months of cool weather under the stars. Applicants can book their campsites for a minimum of three months and a maximum of six months, depending on their preference.
The Umm Al Quwain winter camping permit comes with a Dh2,000 application fee and a refundable Dh10,000 security deposit. Interested applicants must provide a valid passport issued in Umm Al Quwain, a copy of their family book, and a completed application form.
Authorities have emphasized that the camp sites are strictly for private family use only, and subletting, renting, or conducting commercial activities are not permitted. Priority will also be given to People of Determination and government entities, who can apply for special allocations for temporary camps.
Officials have urged campers to follow all environmental and safety guidelines during the season. Any violations of terms may lead to permit cancellation and loss of the deposit.
For many residents, the Umm Al Quwain winter camping permit offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy a peaceful escape into nature, combining the charm of desert nights with a safe, regulated camping experience.
