Zed taxi fleet expansion Dubai sees a major boost with the integration of 10,764 new taxis from Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) and National Taxi into the ride-hailing app. This growth means Zed now hosts over 80% of Dubai’s licensed taxi fleet, including vehicles from DTC, National Taxi, and Kabi by Al Ghurair.
Passengers can easily book rides across Dubai through a single app covering all three major operators, improving availability and reducing wait times citywide—including in less-served areas. This move advances the Roads and Transport Authority’s Smart Mobility Strategy, aiming for 80% of taxi bookings to be digital.
Significantly, many newly added taxis are electric or hybrid, supporting Dubai’s ongoing efforts to cut vehicle emissions and advance sustainable urban mobility.
With rising public and shared transport demand in Dubai—395.3 million trips recorded in the first half of 2025—Zed’s expanded coverage is well-timed to meet commuter needs during peak hours and busy locations, providing passengers with efficient and reliable mobility options.
