The Central Bank of the UAE has appointed four assistant governors for the first time in its history, marking a major expansion of its leadership framework. The federal decree issued by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan confirms the appointments, aimed at strengthening regulatory oversight and operational efficiency.

The new assistant governors are Ahmed Saeed Al Qamzi for Banking and Insurance Supervision, Ibraheem Al Sayed Mohamed Al Hashemi for the Executive Office and Board Secretariat, Fatma Al Jabri for Financial Crime, Market Conduct and Consumer Protection, and Saif Al Dhaheri for Banking Operations and Support Services.

Their combined experience across banking regulation, market conduct, risk oversight and operations is expected to accelerate the central bank’s strategic objectives and reinforce the UAE’s financial stability. The expansion of the leadership team comes at a time when the country is further solidifying its position as a global financial hub.
