Gold Prices in Dubai Near Record Highs as Global Markets Await US Data

UAE Gold Price

UAE Gold Price are holding steady near all-time highs as global investors await a crucial wave of US economic data this week. The metal’s strong performance follows five consecutive sessions of gains, underscoring growing investor confidence in safe-haven assets amid softening US economic signals.

Spot gold hovered around $4,305 per ounce in early Asian trading, just below the October record of $4,381. The steadiness reflects continued investor support after the US Federal Reserve’s third rate cut this year, which bolstered non-yielding assets like gold.

Dubai Market Mirrors Global Resilience

In Dubai, the 24-karat gold price stood firm at Dh518.25 per gram, with 22-karat gold remaining at Dh480. This mirrors the global trend of stability despite fluctuations in the US dollar and bond yields. Over the past two weeks, 24K gold has risen from Dh503.75 on December 2 to Dh518.25 on December 16, while 22K gold climbed from Dh466.50 to Dh480. These highs signal increased buying activity from both retail and investment segments.

Eyes on Upcoming US Economic Data

Attention now turns to the delayed US payrolls data, to be released later today after a six-week government shutdown. Analysts expect a modest rise of 50,000 jobs and an unemployment rate of 4.5%, suggesting a mildly cooling but stable labor market. Inflation figures and comments from Federal Reserve officials later this week will likely determine gold’s next major movement.

Record-Breaking Year for Precious Metals

The year 2025 has been historic for precious metals, with gold soaring around 65% and silver more than doubling — their best yearly results since 1979. The rally is driven by persistent central-bank buying, mounting global debt levels, and weakening investor appetite for government bonds.

As global uncertainty lingers and rate-cut expectations grow, analysts suggest gold prices in Dubai are unlikely to see a major correction soon, keeping the market highly attractive to investors and buyers alike.
