The Ras Al Khaimah Police have reported a significant 11.6% increase in emergency calls during the third quarter of 2025, highlighting the force’s growing operational readiness and community responsiveness.
According to official data, the command and control center received over 129,000 emergency calls via the 999 hotline between July and September. Despite the rise in volume, the police maintained efficient response times, thanks to improved coordination and advanced dispatch systems.
Brigadier General Dr Muhammad Al Humaidi, Director of the Central Operations Department, said the increase reflects both heightened public awareness and the police’s capability to manage emergencies swiftly. “We aim to ensure that every call receives an immediate and professional response,” he said.
The department also noted an uptick in non-emergency calls through the 901 line, emphasizing the importance of distinguishing between urgent and general inquiries. Awareness campaigns have been launched to educate residents about proper use of both numbers to avoid delays in real emergencies.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening response systems with AI-powered monitoring, GPS-based patrol tracking, and cross-department coordination. Public cooperation, they added, remains a key factor in maintaining safety across the emirate.
