The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to take place in England from June 12 to July 5. India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group, setting the stage for a highly anticipated clash on June 14 at Edgbaston.
This edition features the largest line-up in tournament history, with 12 teams competing. Group A includes Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, and the Netherlands. Group B features West Indies, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland, and Scotland.
England will open the tournament against Sri Lanka on June 12, followed by an all-European match between Ireland and Scotland at Old Trafford on June 13. The Netherlands will make their tournament debut, facing Bangladesh in their opening match.
The final is scheduled for July 5 at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground.
ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta highlighted the event as a major milestone for women’s cricket, emphasizing increased participation, media coverage, and prize money, building on the momentum from the recent Women’s Cricket World Cup held in India.
